Production, quality and contracts
OEM, private-label and export enquiries are handled under the NEWCANS name, and NEWCANS also appears in the label information on the back of GOLBAY products.
NEWCANS is a seafood canning company that grew out of a cannery in Ganggu, Yeongdeok. It was founded in 2026.

I am HyeGyeong Yoon, CEO of NEWCANS.
My father has run a cannery since 1988, and today the plant in Ganggu, Yeongdeok, makes canned whelk and saury.
NEWCANS supplies canned goods to restaurants specialising in whelk in Euljiro, Seoul.
Our CEO has hands-on experience in quality control and product registration in canned-food manufacturing, and uses it to oversee everything from raw-material sourcing to process design herself.
I studied international trade, learned the cannery work at my father’s side, and founded NEWCANS in 2026.
In 2025 we shipped our first export samples through KOTRA, and at our first trade fair in 2026 overseas buyers asked for samples.
The first product under our own brand, GOLBAY, is Mackerel & Siraegi. We also make canned products for other brands on the same line.
Tell me your raw material, recipe and preferred can size, and I’ll review them and reply myself. I also handle overseas enquiries in person.

Named after ‘golbay’, the word Yeongdeok’s fishing villages used for whelk.
The NEWCANS symbol is a can seen from above. The rim, lid and pull-tab hide the letters C, A and N.
